Arctic Horizons
Arctic Horizons is a one-man company created in
2005, specialized in snowshoeing trips and winter oudoor activities. I
am based in Luosto, a small tourist resort of Finnish Lapland, about
100 km north from the Arctic Circle. Luosto is very conveniently
located just at the border of Pyhä-Luosto national Park. This national
park, with its unique chain of fells, its primitive boreal forest and
peatlands represents a dream for arctic nature lovers!
My programs
are based on the discovery of the Lapland's nature and culture, through
environmental friendly activities. It means that during my programs, we
will move only with snowshoes (apart from taxi and group transfers to
the beginnings of some programs). I also believe that the only way to
enjoy outdoors is to stay in very small groups, and therefore all my
activities are operated with a maximum number of 4, 6 or 8
participants, depending on the program selected!
